It's not as if the rightie-tighties haven't been talking about this for a long time, though. As soon as they figured out their era of cheerleading was over - as early as 2006 - it began.

- My old-days homey Richard Jobson is making a movie about Scots soldiers in Afghanistan called "Into The Valley". (Gods, were we ever all that young? Peace, Stuart.)

- British MI5 agents were complicit in torture of detainees in Pakistan, a new report by Human Rights Watch alleges. The British government want to do a Bush/Obama style cover-up, but the British independent legal system might not let them. If prosecutions proceed, watch for revelations that would implicate US agents too. (h/t Kat)
