I Hope
Commentary By Ron Beasley
I keep hopping that Obama's talk of "bipartisanship" is just that - talk, a political kibuishi dance. It is obvious that no compromise is possible with the current Republican lawmakers who see tax cuts as the second coming of Jesus Christ and the solution to everything. After eight years of an economic policy that consisted of nothing but tax cuts it amazes me they have the nerve to continue this meme considering the current state of the economy. John Cole says it better :
I really don’t understand how bipartisanship is ever going to work when one of the parties is insane. Imagine trying to negotiate an agreement on dinner plans with your date, and you suggest Italian and she states her preference would be a meal of tire rims and anthrax. If you can figure out a way to split the difference there and find a meal you will both enjoy, you can probably figure out how bipartisanship is going to work the next few years.
Insane indeed - like crack addicts or religious cultists.
Ronald Reagan was a great President - not because he was right but because he was a great communicator. Up to this point Obama is no Reagan.

It appears that John has not had a serious relationship lately. (Other than, perhaps with his cat, Tunch.) It's your girlfriend John. Obviously you eat tire rims and anthrax. Jeez, where did you go to relationship school?
