Different Varieties Of Taliban
By Cernig
I've a one-off guest post over at The New Atlanticist, the blog of the Atlantic Council of the United States in which I agree with Fred Kagan (a definite first!) that calling the rainbow coalition of opposing groups in Afghanistan and Pakistan by the monolithic label "The Taliban" is not only misleading but, seven years in, is a hindrance to intelligent debate on regional policy.
Thanks to Atlanticist editor James Joyner for affording me the opportunity to post this there - and under my real name too!

Good Job Cernig
