John Cole's last post on the Warren invocation, (which, given his track record, may mean another three or four by the time this is posted). Also the Poor Man Institute. Paul Campos thinks the pick trivializes religious belief, which leads to Libby noting that we should be wondering why there's a religious invocation at this ceremony in the first place. On the bright side, the media is so enthralled by watching the left tie itself up into knots over a minute-long speech that they've temporarily forgotten to try and smear Obama with manufactured ties to the Blagojevich scandal.
Speaking of religion rearing its head in places it doesn't belong, this morning brings news of the new, "Right of Conscience" regulation set to take effect two days before still-President Bush finally leaves office. Read Hilzoy.
With all the talk of Warren and Blagojevich, I suppose you can be forgiven if you missed the The Torture Report in the NY Times. Greenwald produces another must-read on the subject.
Ah well, tomorrow makes it one month to go. Get your good-byes ready.
And in honour of the just-announced bailout of the no-longer-so-Big 3 by the still-President who still cares little for what Congress has to say, an excellent post by mw over at Donklephant noting that these are three quite different companies worthy of quite different treatment, though it appears too late for that now.
