Bush's Legacy In The Echo Chamber

By Cernig

Question: If the Director of The Heritage Foundation's Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom (what a contradiction in terms) pens an op-ed for the unapologetic hideaway for neocon serial liars that is the UK's Daily Torygraph, one that calls George W. Bush the greatest liberator "since Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt",  and it gets repeated by folks like Jules Cretinhead, should we take it seriously?

Answer: Hell, no.

I was planning a more substantive take-down when I first saw the article, but the falsehoods and historical revisions built up at such a fantastic rate that I was unable to even finish reading it. That is some highly concentrated wingnuttery.

Oh I thought that was one of Jon Swift's delightful satires right up until the fourth paragraph. I thought he'd lost his comic touch then realized it was real. That brought the humor back. My goodness what a wanker.
