Why does GOP.com hate John McCain (and, presumably, America)?
Could it have something to do with the war between McCain's original realist supporters (belatedly coming to their senses about the disasterously bad decision Kristol and the Corner strongarmed McCain into) and the Palinites who make up the rump of the party that nominated him? As one Republican apparatchik said the other day "if your against Palin, you're dead to the party".

Pretty amazing that so many republicans are lining up behind Palin, someone so new, untested, and little understood - not to mention dragging along boatload of ideological contradictions and more than a hint of moral corruption. I'd love one of these supporters to describe exactly how Alaska's blatant socialist (to the tune of $2350.00 per person) system is consistent with republican free (deregulated) market values. Would Alaskans be voting for her if she took away the oil refund?
