Big Win????
By Ron Beasley
I've been quiet again and I apologize. I haven't been feeling well but it's mostly because I still can't believe the Rethuglicans will let Obama and the Democrats to win next week. Everything would indicate that Obama should win in a near landslide next Tuesday. I feel a little better tonight largely because Larry Sabato predicts a big Obama win.
Yes, the very reliable Sabato predicts a blowout. He also predicts a pick up of seven or eight in the Senate - not 60 but enough to get a lot of things done. On top of that NBC's Chuck Todd says it's easier to see how Obama could get 375 EV's that it is to see how McCain gets 270.
That said I'm still nervous.
Two weekly polls came out today with big differences. The CBS/NYT poll has Obama up by 11 points while the FOX poll has him up by only 3. Of course FOX changed it's methodology to get that result.
Hopefully I'll feel better in five days.

I kinda wish i could go into a coma and wake up on the 5th with Obama as President-elect.
as good as things look right now, the wait for the results on the 4th is going to be a mindfuck.

Never over 'til it's over - but Reagan's chief of staff Ken Duberstein just endorsed Obama and in my neck of the woods, the right wing Farmington newspaper in northern New Mexico gas country also endorsed him today despite supporting the Reeps for other races. If NM and Colorado support Obama - now likely to happen - then McCain's options of picking up sufficient electoral votes narrow further.

I so hope you are right and Obama has a landslide!! Change to a better sort of government than the GOP offers is what this country and the world needs desperately. May your election map become reality on Tuesday.

I’ve heard McCain and his surrogates say, ” McCain has won wars, he was there, and he knows how to win this one “.
Gov Palin states this in the VP debate, ” John McCain knows how to win wars, John has won wars and he has been there”.
Can anyone tell me what war or wars John McCain has won?
