He's Back!!!

By Ron Beasley

One of the greatest of the greats is back over at DKos, Billmon.  No copy and pastes just go read it.  As usual it's right on the money and really depressing.  I can only hope this appearance at DKos  might mean a return of the Whiskey Bar.  Billmon is the smartest of the smartest.  He has been following current events for a long time and can put 1 + 1 together better than anyone I have read.  Sorry Cernig!

Update

John Cole has some great observations and admits he should have listened to Billmon more a few years ago.

Update II

I'm glad to see that Billmon is finally getting some play over at memeorandum

Hi Ron,

S'OK, Billmon is indeed a great writer and excellent at joining the dots.

But I'll tell you that I know for a fact Joe Klein has been wise to McCain for several months. He hasn't just finally noticed or anything like it.

Regards, C

Yes Joe Klein has been wise to McCain for "several months" but I think what Billmon is saying here is that we should have been wise to McCain several years ago - and yes that includes me. Even Ms Alan Greenspan is wise to McCain now.

Wow. That was a great article. Fantastic sum up-I've already sent it to one person I know who is "on the fence" about who to vote for. Thanks for the link.
