If only...

by Stacie

Is it just me, or is the entire Clinton campaign at this point predicated on the notion that if only... something were different, she'd already be president? Bill Clinton:

"If we were under the Republican system, which is more like the Electoral College, she'd have a 300-delegate lead here. I mean, Senator McCain is already the nominee because they chose a system to produce that result, and we don't have a nominee here, because the Democrats chose a system that prevents that result," he said.

Yep, we could do that all day. If only we had an honest, open electoral system, free from unconstitutional meddling of the US Supreme Court, why, George Bush would never have been president.

If only ....

I think it would be more accurate to state that, "If we were under the Republican system, which is more like the Electoral College, but the Obama camp wasn't told about the change and therefore didn't adjust his tactics, she'd have a 300-delegate lead here.

She might have also have had the nomination if she had not run such an incompetent camapign or if she had not been such a war hawk.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

Go Obama 08!
